Matt Heaven vs Paul Somerville

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Boxing promoted show at Vector Arena, Auckland,  taking place on 27/05/2034:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  On the line tonight is the New Zealand Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Matt Heaven (15(10) - 3) who hails from Christchurch, New Zealand and Paul Somerville(7 - 7 - 3) from Wellington, New Zealand.  Heaven weighed in at 234 pounds and 5 ounces, while Somerville weighed in at 241 pounds and 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Lloyd Rease, and the three ringside judges are Antwan Vaughan, Kieran Beynon and Waraki Kawau.  

Round 1: 

Heaven steps inside and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Heaven ties up his opponent.  Heaven pushes his forearm into Somerville's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Heaven to stop fouling.  
Heaven lands a left uppercut, left hook and a right hook to his opponents body.  Heaven holds on to his opponent.  Heaven leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Heaven's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Heaven is on target with a sharp left hook to his opponents body.  
Heaven slams a hurtful left hook into his opponents body.  IT LOOKS LIKE SOMERVILLE WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Somerville recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Heaven is looking to close the distance and lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  Heaven holds on to his opponent.  Heaven leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Heaven tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Somerville behind the head. 
Heaven lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.

Somerville throws a left hook, but Heaven ties up his opponent.  Heaven is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Heaven lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Heaven forces Somerville to back into a corner.  Heaven is looking to force the stoppage!  Heaven lands consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs, DROPPING SOMERVILLE TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  Somerville now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Heaven throws a left uppercut, but his opponent parries the shot.  Heaven clinches his opponent.  Heaven leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Heaven is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Heaven.  
Heaven lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Heaven lands a jab to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Heaven closes the distance and lands a firm right uppercut.  Heaven clinches his opponent.  Heaven leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Heaven lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Somerville steps to the outside.  Heaven connects with a firm cross.  
Heaven drives a solid right hook into Somerville's body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Somerville's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Somerville's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Heaven lands a left hook, left uppercut and a left hook to his opponents body.  Heaven ties up his opponent.  Heaven uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Somerville behind the head. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Heaven to stop fouling.  
Heaven lands a cross.  
Heaven is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Heaven holds on to his opponent.  Heaven leans on his opponent using all his weight. Heaven uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Somerville's kidney. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Heaven to stop holding.  
Heaven lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Somerville steps away from his opponent.  Heaven connects with a mean cross.  SOMERVILLE WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Somerville recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Heaven steps inside and whips in a big left hook to his opponents body.  SOMERVILLE WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Somerville almost instantly recovers. 
Heaven lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Heaven lands a left hook, right hook and a left hook to his opponents body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Heaven holds on to his opponent.  Heaven is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The referee breaks up the clinch and lectures Heaven to stop holding.  Somerville recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Heaven forces Somerville to retreat into the blue corner.  Heaven lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Heaven is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Heaven connects with a left hook.  
Heaven digs in a firm right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Heaven lands a right uppercut, right hook and a right uppercut to his opponents body, AND SOMERVILLE IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 6.  
Heaven is really starting to turn up the heat!  He senses a stoppage here.  Heaven lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body, KNOCKING SOMERVILLE DOWN!  He manages to get up at 5.  Somerville now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Heaven steps inside and lands a left uppercut.  
Heaven crashes a spiteful left hook to his opponents body.  IT LOOKS LIKE SOMERVILLE WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Somerville quickly recovers. 
Heaven lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Heaven forces Somerville to retreat onto the ropes.  Heaven lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body, AND SENDS SOMERVILLE SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  The ref does not give Somerville the chance to beat the count...The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Heaven!
