Nicholas Kipkirui vs Robert Cherigat

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Kenya-Nairobi promoted show at Nairobi Oduol, Nairobi,  taking place on 16/05/2034:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Kenya Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on KTV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Nicholas Kipkirui (9 - 3) who hails from Nairobi, Kenya and Robert Cherigat(23(19) - 5(5)) from Kikuyu, Kenya.  Kipkirui weighed in at 139 pounds and 2 ounces, while Cherigat weighed in at 139 pounds and 13 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Elliot Lumumba, and the three ringside judges are Paul Changeywo, Kyrone Koimbori and Scott Merande.  

Round 1:

Cherigat sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Cherigat hits home with a stinging left hook.  Cherigat ties up his opponent.  Cherigat leans on his opponent using all his weight. Cherigat uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Kipkirui behind the head. 
Cherigat whips in a mean right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  KIPKIRUI IS HURT!  
Cherigat closes the distance.  Cherigat is looking to put the pressure on now...he knows a few clean shots could mean an early night.  Cherigat lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  He follows up the attack and lands a left uppercut followed by  two right hooks to his opponents body, AND KIPKIRUI IS DOWN!  He manages to get up at 6.  
Cherigat drives a potent left hook into Kipkirui's body.  DOWN GOES KIPKIRUI!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  Kipkirui now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Kipkirui is looking to keep his distance.  Cherigat hits home with a stinging cross.  
Cherigat advances into close range.  Cherigat quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Kipkirui is looking to keep his distance.  Cherigat stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Cherigat lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head, KNOCKING KIPKIRUI DOWN!  The ref does not even bother with the count...he's seen enough!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Cherigat!
