Rex Sim vs Rob Purvis

Boxing Daily Report from the Showtime Promotions promoted show at Edwards Hall, Miami,  taking place on 26/05/2034:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Rex Sim (20(17) - 0 - 1(NC)) who hails from Yuma, USA and Rob Purvis(9 - 7(1) - 2) from Houston, USA.  Both Sim and Purvis weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ora Danon, and the three ringside judges are James Villasana, Cody Grant and Owen Covington.  

Round 1: 

Sim lands a right hook, left hook and a right hook to his opponents body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Sim ties up his opponent.  Sim is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  Purvis almost instantly recovers. 
Sim pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a cross to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Sim gets on the inside and throws a right hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Sim holds on to his opponent.  Sim leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Sim steps inside and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Sim ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Sim pushes his forearm into Purvis's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Sim about fouling.  
Sim is looking to close the distance.  Sim quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Purvis throws a left hook, but Sim clinches his opponent.  Sim leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Sim lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Sim walks Purvis into the corner.  Sim is on target with a right hook to Purvis's ribcage.  
Sim throws a left hook, but the shot is blocked.  Sim holds on to his opponent.  Sim leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Sim steps inside and is on target with a left hook to Purvis's body.  
Sim closes the distance and lands a left hook, right hook and a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Sim lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Sim walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Sim digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  Sim clinches his opponent.  Sim leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Sim's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Sim lands a left uppercut to the head, a right hook to the body and a left uppercut to the body.  
Sim drives a right hook into Purvis's ribs.  
Sim lands consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body.  
Sim lands a left uppercut followed by  two right hooks to his opponents body.  Sim holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Sim pushes his forearm into Purvis's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Sim about fouling.  
Sim lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Sim lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Purvis is looking to keep his distance and lands a cross.  
Sim is looking to close the distance and is on target with a solid right hook to his opponents body.  
Sim forces Purvis to retreat into a corner.  Sim drives a sharp right hook into his opponents ribs.  
Sim lands a right hook, left hook and a left uppercut to his opponents body, AND DROPS PURVIS!  He manages to get up at 5.  
Sim sees his opponent is hurt.  He's looking for the finish!  Sim lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body, AND SENDS PURVIS TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 5.  It looks like Purvis has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Purvis's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Purvis's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Purvis throws a right hook, but Sim ties up his opponent.  Sim uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Purvis's kidney. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Sim about fouling.  
Sim is on target with a sharp left uppercut to Purvis's body.  
Sim lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  Sim ties up his opponent.  Sim leans on his opponent using all his weight. The referee breaks up the clinch and lectures Sim to stop holding.  
Sim advances into close range and walks Purvis onto the ropes.  Sim lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Sim lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Sim drives a solid left hook into Purvis's liver.  
Sim lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Purvis almost instantly recovers. 
Sim closes the distance and lands a stinging left hook.  
Sim is on target with a stinging cross.  
Sim closes the distance and drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Sim lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Sim is looking to close the distance and cuts off the ring, trapping Purvis in a corner.  Sim lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Sim closes the distance and drives a left hook into his opponents body.

Sim closes the distance and drives a powerful right uppercut into Purvis's ribs.  DOWN GOES PURVIS!  HE REMAINS ON THE CANVAS AS THE COUNT REACHES 10!  The winner by KO is Sim!
