Callum Erasmus vs Hugh Nyauza

Boxing Daily Report from the Jobivore Boxing promoted show at Pretoria Letlabika, Pretoria,  taking place on 01/06/2034:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the South Africa-Gauteng Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Callum Erasmus (9 - 8 - 1) who hails from Mamelodi, South Africa and Hugh Nyauza(10 - 12(1) - 5) from Randburg, South Africa.  Both Erasmus and Nyauza weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Fraser Mulder, and the three ringside judges are John Cele, Rob Bakwamba and Peter Mbalula.  

Round 1: 

Nyauza steps inside and manouvers his opponent into a corner.  Nyauza pivots from in front of his opponent and digs in a left hook to Erasmus's ribs.  
Nyauza gets on the inside.  Erasmus hits home with a right hook.  
Erasmus switches the action to the outside and tries to land a cross, but Nyauza slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Erasmus feints a right hook, and then is on target with a jab.  
Erasmus tries to step out of his opponents range.  Nyauza connects with an overhand right.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Erasmus's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Nyauza's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Nyauza's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.

As Erasmus tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Nyauza dabs at his face checking for damage.

Erasmus connects with a cross.  
Nyauza gets on the inside and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.
