Brett Riddick vs Ewan Scott

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Boxing promoted show at Vector Arena, Auckland,  taking place on 08/07/2034:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  On the line tonight is the New Zealand Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Brett Riddick (27(13) - 3(2)) who hails from Auckland, New Zealand and Ewan Scott(14(1) - 12(4)) from Manukau, New Zealand.  Both Riddick and Scott weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Chris Heretini, and the three ringside judges are Mike Sproule, Matthew Chisholm and Oliver Ngarongomate.  

Round 1: 

Riddick is looking to keep his distance.  Riddick feints a cross, and then lands a jab to the body, an overhand right to the head and an overhand left to the head.  
Scott steps inside.  Scott pivots to the side of his opponent.  Scott is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  Riddick clinches his opponent.  Scott pushes his forearm into Riddick's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Scott steps inside and throws a left hook, but Riddick ties up his opponent.  Scott is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Scott manages to force Riddick onto the ropes.  Riddick attempts to land a jab, but Scott slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Riddick feints a right hook, and then lands a jab, cross and a jab to his opponents head.  
Scott quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Riddick lands a double jab to his opponents head.
