Iwao Kato vs Kenji Okubo

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Kyoto promoted show at Kyoto Takemoto, Kyoto,  taking place on 28/07/2034:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan-Kyoto Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Iwao Kato (8 - 12(2)) who hails from Kyoto, Japan and Kenji Okubo(13 - 19 - 2) from Kyoto, Japan.  Both Kato and Okubo weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Naoki Kawasaki, and the three ringside judges are Kazuhiko Anzai, Jiro Sugimoto and Kenji Fujiwara.

Okubo gets on the inside.  Okubo pivots to the left of his opponent and hits home with a right hook.  
Okubo manouvers Kato into the corner.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Okubo dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Okubo advances into close range and attempts to land a left hook, but Kato blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.

Kato retreats back to the ropes, and waits for his opponent to attack.  Okubo tries to tag Kato on the ropes, but his opponent blocks every shot!
