David Pringle vs John Meston

Boxing Daily Report from the No limit promoted show at Geelong Harvie, Geelong,  taking place on 18/08/2034:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Australia-Victoria Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are David Pringle (15 - 19(2) - 5) who hails from Melbourne, Australia and John Meston(15(1) - 2(1)) from Melbourne, Australia.  Both Pringle and Meston weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Matt Barry, and the three ringside judges are John Kamenskiy, Paul Tighe and John Lewis.  

Round 1: 

Meston advances into close range.  Meston pivots to the right of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.  
Pringle pivots from in front of his opponent.  Meston finds the target with a jab.  
Meston gets on the inside and lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Pringle attempts to land a jab, but Meston blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Meston sidesteps to the right of his opponent and finds the target with a jab.

The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Pringle dabs at his face checking for damage.  Pringle has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.
