Santiago Monzon vs Ponce Dieguez

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Mexico-Mexico State promoted show at Jax Lusco Gym, Tlalnepantla,  taking place on 07/09/2034:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Mexico-Mexico State Light Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Santiago Monzon (13 - 17 - 5) who hails from Ecatepec, Mexico and Ponce Dieguez(17 - 14 - 2) from Tlalnepantla, Mexico.  Both Monzon and Dieguez weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jose Puebla, and the three ringside judges are Carlos Licona, Oleos Laguardia and Pablo Mare.  

Round 1: 

Dieguez forces Monzon to back into the ropes.  Dieguez lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Dieguez sidesteps to the left of his opponent and connects with a left uppercut.
