Chris Whittet vs Ewan Kay

Boxing Daily Report from the Nkoloma Promotions promoted show at Auckland Ghant, Auckland,  taking place on 14/09/2034:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the New Zealand Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Prime, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Chris Whittet (15(2) - 2 - 1(NC)) who hails from Christchurch, New Zealand and Ewan Kay(14 - 12(2) - 5) from Manukau, New Zealand.  Both Whittet and Kay weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Robert Smillie, and the three ringside judges are Ian Skene, Chris Booth and Corey Hopper.  

Round 1: 

Whittet steps away from his opponent and lands two jabs followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Whittet advances into close range and manages to force Kay into a corner.  Whittet hits home with a left hook.  
Whittet tries to keep the action at long range and lands a cross to the head, a cross to the body and an overhand right to the head.

Whittet switches the action to the outside.  Kay throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a stinging cross.
