Francisco Naves vs Joaquin Vara

Boxing Daily Report from the Hansen Promotions promoted show at Brazil-Ceara Gym, Fortaleza,  taking place on 18/09/2034:

Clearly Hansen Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Brazil-Ceara Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Francisco Naves (11 - 14(1) - 2) who hails from Fortaleza, Brazil and Joaquin Vara(12 - 25 - 6) from Fortaleza, Brazil.  Naves weighed in at 200 pounds, while Vara weighed in at 199 pounds and 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Juan Duque, and the three ringside judges are Vicente Socia, Lorenzo Serra and Nicandro Montijo.  

Round 1: 

Naves lands a cross.  
Naves walks Vara down, trapping him in the corner.  Naves drives a left hook into his opponents liver.  
Naves lands an overhand left followed by a cross to his opponents head.  Naves throws an overhand right, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.

Naves connects with a right hook.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Naves dabs at his face checking for damage.

Vara voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Naves tries to tag Vara on the ropes, but his opponent blocks every shot!  
Vara throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref stops the action and gives Naves time to recover.  
Naves hits home with a right hook.
