Hikaru Kurihara vs Fumio Koda

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Kanagawa promoted show at Yokohama Shibata, Yokohama,  taking place on 27/09/2034:

Clearly AI Japan-Kanagawa have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan-Kanagawa Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Hikaru Kurihara (12 - 16(1) - 5) who hails from Fujisawa, Japan and Fumio Koda(19 - 12 - 7) from Yokohama, Japan.  Both Kurihara and Koda weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ichiro Yokota, and the three ringside judges are Taro Ike, Hitoshi Watanabe and Takeshi Murakami.  

Round 1: 

Koda gets on the inside.  Kurihara pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.

Koda quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Koda.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.
