Ian McQuilkin vs Theo Sayer

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-North Carolina promoted show at Charlotte Prichard, Charlotte,  taking place on 05/10/2034:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the USA-North Carolina Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ian McQuilkin (8 - 12(3) - 3) who hails from Raleigh, USA and Theo Sayer(18(6) - 7 - 1) from Charlotte, USA.  Both McQuilkin and Sayer weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Kian Bourne, and the three ringside judges are Dale Jones, Felix Hughes and Kian Bourne.  

Round 1: 

Sayer pivots to the right of his opponent and drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
Sayer manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Sayer digs in a left hook to McQuilkin's body.  
Sayer drives a right hook into his opponents ribcage.  
McQuilkin is looking to keep his distance.  Sayer feints a cross, fooling McQuilkin into throwing a right uppercut counter.  Sayer springs the trap and counters with  a left uppercut.  
Sayer closes the distance and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Sayer lands a left uppercut followed by  two left hooks to his opponents body.  
Sayer walks his opponent into the corner.  Sayer lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Sayer drives a left uppercut into McQuilkin's body.  
Sayer lands a right hook, right uppercut and a right hook to his opponents body.  
Sayer advances into close range and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Sayer drives a right hook into McQuilkin's body.

Sayer thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put McQuilkin away.  Sayer crashes a nasty right uppercut to McQuilkin's body.  MCQUILKIN HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  McQuilkin now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
McQuilkin contemptuously drops his hands, trying to provoke his opponent.  Sayer connects with a cross.  
Sayer lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...McQuilkin's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  McQuilkin's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  McQuilkin's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.
