Dave Smith vs Vincent Sutherlin

Boxing Daily Report from the Namugerwa Promotions promoted show at Oliver Benichou Gym, Edmonton,  taking place on 19/10/2034:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Canada-Alberta Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Dave Smith (11(2) - 5(1)) who hails from Calgary, Canada and Vincent Sutherlin(8 - 9(2) - 4) from Calgary, Canada.  Both Smith and Sutherlin weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Chris Crear, and the three ringside judges are Amon Adie, Charles Wardrop and Sean Camlin.  

Round 1: 

Smith steps inside and drives a right hook into Sutherlin's body.  
Smith gets on the inside and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Sutherlin steps to the outside.  Smith lands a jab.

Smith lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Sutherlin quickly recovers. 
Sutherlin throws a left uppercut, but his opponent parries the shot.  Smith clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Smith pushes his forearm into Sutherlin's face.  The ref breaks Smith's hold and signals for the fight to continue.
