Balder Asplund vs Roscoe Sando

Boxing Daily Report from the Xtreme Fighting Champions promoted show at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Atlantic City,  taking place on 04/11/2034:

Clearly Xtreme Fighting Champions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Balder Asplund (3(2) - 0 - 1) who hails from Oslo, Norway and Roscoe Sando(3 - 16) from Oslo, Norway.  Both Asplund and Sando weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Paul Paletta, and the three ringside judges are Valentino Brunelli, Theo Halley and Hayden Giunti.  

Round 1: 

Asplund lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Asplund clinches his opponent.  Asplund pushes his forearm into Sando's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Asplund manages to force Sando into the corner.  Asplund lands two left uppercuts followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Asplund ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Asplund pushes his forearm into Sando's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Asplund about fouling.  
Asplund drives a right hook into his opponents ribcage.  Asplund holds on to his opponent.  Asplund is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Asplund lands a right hook to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Asplund lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  He then lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Asplund holds on to his opponent.  Asplund leans on his opponent using all his weight. As they grapple, Asplund pushes his forearm into Sando's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch. Asplund quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Asplund is on target with a left hook to Sando's body.  Asplund ties up his opponent.  Asplund leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Sando is looking to keep his distance.  Asplund lands a straight 1 - 2.  He continues the combination and lands a cross followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Asplund lands an overhand right.  
Asplund advances into close range and throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Asplund steps inside and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  He then lands a double right hook to his opponents head.

Sando is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Asplund lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.  
Asplund gets on the inside and hits home with a firm left hook.  
Asplund is looking to close the distance.  Sando throws a left hook, but Asplund holds on to his opponent.  Asplund leans on his opponent using all his weight. Asplund uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Sando behind the head. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Asplund connects with a stinging left hook.  Asplund attempts to land a jab, but Sando parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Sando's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Sando's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Sando's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Asplund manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Asplund attempts to land a left hook, but Sando sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut to Asplund's body.  
Asplund lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Asplund is on target with a firm left hook.  
Asplund connects with a left hook.  Asplund ties up his opponent.  Asplund leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Asplund cuts off the ring, trapping Sando in the red corner.  Asplund lands two right hooks followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Asplund clinches his opponent.  Asplund leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Asplund to stop holding.

Asplund closes the distance.  Asplund quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head, AND DROPS SANDO!  He is still struggling to his feet as the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Asplund!
