Chang-hoon Gang vs Jong-ho Shim

Boxing Daily Report from the Sumito Urayama's KO Kings promoted show at Changwon Velodrome, Changwon,  taking place on 18/11/2034:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the South Korea Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on KBS Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Chang-hoon Gang (18(13) - 3(2)) who hails from Cheonan, South Korea and Jong-ho Shim(27 - 8(3) - 2) from Seoul, South Korea.  Both Gang and Shim weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Hyun-soo Choung, and the three ringside judges are Yong-jae Ham, Chul Kwon and Eun-sun Bang.  

Round 1: 

Gang steps away from his opponent and lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Gang lands a double jab to his opponents body.  
Gang strikes his opponents body with a jab.  
Gang is looking to keep his distance and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a cross, jab and an overhand left to his opponents head.  
Shim advances into close range and cuts off the ring, trapping Gang in the corner.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Gang dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Gang lands a left hook.  
Gang lands a jab to his opponents body.  Gang throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Shim advances into close range.  Gang lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Gang tries to keep the action at long range and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Shim closes the distance.  Gang lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Gang is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Gang feints a left, and then lands a straight 1 - 2.  He continues the combination and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Shim quickly recovers.

Gang holds on to his opponent.  Shim uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Gang behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Shim.  
Gang steps away from his opponent and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Gang is looking to keep his distance and lands with a solid jab.  
Gang hits the target with a sharp jab.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Shim's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Shim's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Gang steps to the outside and lands a jab followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands an overhand right, cross and an overhand left to his opponents head.

Gang tries to step out of his opponents range and lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.  
Shim advances into close range and throws a right hook, but Gang ties up his opponent.  Gang pushes his forearm into Shim's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Gang hits home with a stiff jab.  
Shim steps inside and walks Gang down, trapping him on the ropes.  Gang lands a right hook to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a right hook to the head.  
Shim is looking to close the distance.  Gang lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Gang ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Gang pushes his forearm into Shim's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  Shim almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Gang lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a cross to the head.  
Gang switches the action to the outside.  Shim attempts to land an overhand right, but Gang blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Gang lands a jab to Shim's body.  
Shim advances into close range.  Gang lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Gang is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a cross.  
Shim gets on the inside and throws a left hook, but Gang clinches his opponent.  Gang is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Shim walks Gang onto the ropes.  Gang lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Gang is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a jab followed by  two overhand lefts to his opponents head.  
Gang steps to the outside and finds the target with a jab.  
Gang snaps his opponents head back with a ramrod jab.  
Gang lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  He then lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Gang lands a ramrod jab.  Gang attempts to land a jab, but Shim blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Gang steps to the outside and lands a cross, jab and an overhand left to his opponents head.

Gang steps away from his opponent and DETONATES a WICKED cross on his opponents face.  SHIM IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  HE UNSTEADILY TRIES TO GET UP BUT IS UNABLE TO BEAT THE 10 COUNT!  The winner by KO is Gang!
