Agon Velo vs David Baird

Boxing Daily Report from the Kurusu Promotions promoted show at ECCO Arena, Middlesbrough,  taking place on 21/12/2034:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the British Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Agon Volcano Velo (30(12) - 2) who hails from Cardiff, UK and David Baird(22(1) - 3(1)) from Manchester, UK.  Both Velo and Baird weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is James McCarthy, and the three ringside judges are Rob Marceau, Michael Munhall and David Duffy.  

Round 1: 

Baird is looking to close the distance and digs in a right uppercut to Velo's ribs.  
Velo drives a sharp left hook into Baird's body.  
Baird is looking to close the distance and manouvers Velo onto the ropes.  Baird hits home with a left hook.  
Velo is on target with a sharp left uppercut to his opponents liver.  Velo holds on to his opponent.  Baird is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Velo is looking to keep his distance and lands an overhand right followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a double jab to his opponents body.  
Baird gets on the inside and attempts to land a left hook, but Velo blocks the shot and counters with a firm cross.  
Baird lands a right uppercut.  Velo clinches his opponent.  Baird pushes his forearm into Velo's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Baird to stop fouling.  
Baird is on target with a left hook to Velo's liver.  
Velo hits home with a right hook.  
Velo is looking to keep his distance.  Baird lands a cross.  
Velo is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Baird gets on the inside.  Velo tries to land a right uppercut, but Baird slips the shot and counters with a sharp left hook.

Baird attempts to land a cross, but Velo slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Velo tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  Velo tries to land an overhand right, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
Baird sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Velo tries to land a jab, but Baird slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Baird walks his opponent down, trapping him in the blue corner.  Velo lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Velo sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Baird tries to land a cross, but Velo slips the shot and counters with a stinging right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Baird manouvers Velo onto the ropes.  Velo lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Baird closes the distance and throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Baird pivots to the right of his opponent.  Baird tries to land a right uppercut, but Velo slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.

Velo switches the action to the outside.  Baird tries to land an overhand left, but Velo sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Baird is on target with a firm left hook.  
Velo lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Velo switches the action to the outside and lands a jab followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Baird steps inside and is on target with a right hook to Velo's body.  Velo ties up his opponent.  Velo leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Velo's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Baird closes the distance and manouvers Velo onto the ropes.  Velo lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Velo is on target with a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Velo steps to the outside and lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Velo feints a left hook, and then lands a cross to the body, and then to the head.  
Velo lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.  
Velo lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Velo quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Baird tries to land a jab, but Velo slips the shot and counters with a stinging cross.  
Velo connects with a WICKED left uppercut.  IT LOOKS LIKE BAIRD WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Velo is looking to keep the action on the outside and connects with a WICKED overhand left.  BAIRD IS DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 6.  Baird now seems to have his senses back.  
Baird throws an overhand left, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a powerful right uppercut.  IT LOOKS LIKE BAIRD WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Baird quickly recovers. 
Velo connects with an overhand right.  
Velo lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  He then lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Baird is looking to close the distance.  Velo is looking for the shot to finish his opponent.  Velo lands a cross followed by  two left hooks to his opponents head, KNOCKING BAIRD DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 7.  Baird now seems to have his senses back.  
Velo pivots to the side of his opponent and drives a firm left hook into his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Baird's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Baird's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.

Velo pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body, AND DOWN GOES BAIRD!  He manages to get up at 8.  
Velo switches the action to the outside.  Baird could be stopped here, if Velo can find the right shot!  Velo lands a left uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a left uppercut to the body, AND BAIRD IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  Baird now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Baird is looking to close the distance.  Velo is on target with a left hook to Baird's body.  
Velo steps away from his opponent and lands a DEVASTATING overhand left.  BAIRD IS DOWN!  THE REF STOPS THE FIGHT!  HE DOES NOT BELIEVE BAIRD CAN CONTINUE!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Velo!
