Hamish McRobbie vs Sam Mickel

Boxing Daily Report from the Kurusu Promotions promoted show at ECCO Arena, Middlesbrough,  taking place on 21/12/2034:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the British-Northern England Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Hamish McRobbie (31(14) - 1) who hails from Hull, UK and Sam Mickel(12 - 4(2) - 2) from Bradford, UK.  Both McRobbie and Mickel weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Rob Marceau, and the three ringside judges are James McCarthy, Michael Munhall and David Duffy.  

Round 1: 

McRobbie is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  McRobbie holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, McRobbie pushes his forearm into Mickel's face.  The referee warns McRobbie and breaks the clinch.  
McRobbie lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
McRobbie steps inside.  Mickel throws a right hook, but McRobbie ties up his opponent.  McRobbie leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
McRobbie lands a right hook, right uppercut and a right hook to his opponents body.  McRobbie holds on to his opponent.  McRobbie is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks McRobbie's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
McRobbie is on target with a solid right hook.  
McRobbie lands a straight 1 - 2.  
McRobbie closes the distance.  McRobbie pivots to the side of his opponent and drives a sharp left uppercut into Mickel's body.  
McRobbie lands two consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents head.  
McRobbie lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
McRobbie lands a ramrod jab.  
McRobbie closes the distance.  McRobbie sidesteps to the left of his opponent and digs in a left uppercut to his opponents body.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as McRobbie dabs at his face checking for damage.  
McRobbie digs in a solid right hook to his opponents body.  
McRobbie gets on the inside and lands a left hook followed by  two right hooks to his opponents body.  McRobbie clinches his opponent.  McRobbie is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns McRobbie to stop fouling.  
McRobbie lands a left uppercut, right uppercut and a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Mickel gets on the inside.  McRobbie drives a left uppercut into his opponents body.  
McRobbie is on target with a left hook.  
McRobbie drives a right hook into Mickel's body.  
McRobbie advances into close range and hits home with a firm left uppercut.  
McRobbie gets on the inside and digs in a right hook to Mickel's body.  
McRobbie lands a cross.  
McRobbie lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Mickel closes the distance.  McRobbie lands a right uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  As Mickel tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to McRobbie.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
McRobbie lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
McRobbie lands a right uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  
Mickel walks his opponent down, trapping him in the red corner.  Mickel attempts to land a left uppercut, but McRobbie blocks the shot and counters with a firm cross.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Mickel's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Mickel's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
