Reynaldo Ortiz vs Dario Vidal

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Mexico-Mexico State promoted show at Bronco Torralba Gym, Ecatepec,  taking place on 16/12/2034:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Mexico Super Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TVC Deportes, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Reynaldo Ortiz (14 - 7(3) - 4) who hails from Nezahualcoyotl, Mexico and Dario Vidal(25(1) - 3 - 1) from Tijuana, Mexico.  Both Ortiz and Vidal weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jerrold Sepeda, and the three ringside judges are Dario Gaona, Iago Riquelme and Federico Villegas.  

Round 1: 

Vidal advances into close range.  Vidal backs onto the ropes...he is waving his opponent in!  Ortiz accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Vidal.  
Ortiz switches the action to the outside.  Vidal attempts to land a jab, but Ortiz slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Ortiz pivots to the right of his opponent.  Vidal lands a cross.  
Vidal closes the distance.  Ortiz hits home with a left uppercut.  
Vidal advances into close range and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Ortiz recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Vidal hits home with a left hook.  
Vidal advances into close range and lands a left hook, right hook and a left uppercut to his opponents body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Ortiz almost instantly recovers. 
Ortiz sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Vidal lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Ortiz quickly recovers. 
Ortiz steps to the outside and lands an overhand left followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Ortiz sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Ortiz attempts to land a right hook, but Vidal blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Ortiz tries to step out of his opponents range.  Ortiz feints a left hook, and then tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp left hook to Ortiz's body.

Ortiz now seems to have got his legs back.  
Vidal lands with a stiff jab.  
Vidal advances into close range and is on target with a firm right hook.  
Vidal lands a left uppercut to the body, a right hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  
Vidal lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Vidal gets on the inside and connects with a left hook.  
Vidal lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  He continues the combination and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Vidal lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Vidal lands a left hook.  
Ortiz pivots from in front of his opponent.  Ortiz attempts to land a right uppercut, but Vidal blocks the shot and counters with a stinging left hook to Ortiz's liver.  
Vidal gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Ortiz quickly recovers. 
Ortiz pivots to the left of his opponent.  Vidal lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body, AND DROPS ORTIZ TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 5.  
Vidal connects with a sharp cross.  
Vidal steps inside and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Ortiz is on target with a jab.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Ortiz's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Vidal's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Vidal steps inside and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Ortiz throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Vidal gets on the inside and whips in a mean left hook to Ortiz's body.  IT LOOKS LIKE ORTIZ WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Ortiz quickly recovers. 
Vidal advances into close range.  Ortiz sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Vidal lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Vidal ties up his opponent.  Vidal leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. As they grapple, Vidal pushes his forearm into Ortiz's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Vidal about fouling.  
Vidal thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Ortiz away.  Vidal lands a right uppercut followed by a cross to his opponents head, AND KNOCKS ORTIZ DOWN!  He unsteadily tries to get up but is unable to beat the 10 count!  The winner by KO is Vidal!
