Carlos Chaparro vs Diego Balan

Boxing Daily Report from the Yalley Promotions promoted show at Guayaquil Olgin, Guayaquil,  taking place on 24/12/2034:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Ecuador-Guayas Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Carlos Chaparro (13 - 12(3) - 1) who hails from Guayaquil, Ecuador and Diego Balan(9(4) - 0) from Guayaquil, Ecuador.  Both Chaparro and Balan weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Juan Corzo, and the three ringside judges are Juan Hernandez, Vicente Tamez and Jax Civil.  

Round 1: 

Balan closes the distance and lands a right hook to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Balan steps inside and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Balan is looking to close the distance.  Balan connects with a firm right hook.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Chaparro dabs at his face checking for damage.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Balan has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.
