Rob Purdie vs Malcolm Fitzsimmons

Boxing Daily Report from the Aussie Boxing Academy promoted show at Josh Maitakov Gym, Melbourne,  taking place on 04/12/2034:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Rob Purdie (0 - 0) who hails from Melbourne, Australia and Malcolm Fitzsimmons(10 - 15 - 4) from Brisbane, Australia.  Both Purdie and Fitzsimmons weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Glynn Soprano, and the three ringside judges are Brendan Stronach, Stephen MacDougall and Paul Raeburn.  

Round 1: 

Fitzsimmons is looking to close the distance.  Fitzsimmons pivots from in front of his opponent andFitzsimmons wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Purdie dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Purdie feints a right hook, and then is on target with a stinging cross.  
Purdie closes the distance and digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Purdie is on target with a right hook to Fitzsimmons's body.  
Purdie drives a stinging left hook into Fitzsimmons's ribs.  FITZSIMMONS WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Fitzsimmons quickly recovers. 
Purdie lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right uppercut to the body.  
Purdie lands a right hook, right uppercut and a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Purdie steps inside and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Purdie crashes a hurtful right hook to Fitzsimmons's body.  
Purdie senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Purdie lands consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents body, AND FITZSIMMONS IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  Fitzsimmons now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Purdie lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Purdie lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  Purdie tries to land a left uppercut, but Fitzsimmons blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Purdie lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  Purdie clinches his opponent.  Purdie leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Purdie's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Purdie lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Purdie is looking to close the distance.  Purdie quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right uppercut, right hook and a left hook to his opponents body.  
Purdie steps inside and digs in a firm right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Purdie pivots from in front of his opponent and connects with a solid cross.  
Fitzsimmons gets on the inside.  Purdie lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Purdie clinches his opponent.  Purdie is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. As they grapple, Purdie pushes his forearm into Fitzsimmons's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Purdie about fouling.  Fitzsimmons almost instantly recovers. 
Fitzsimmons manouvers Purdie onto the ropes.  Purdie is on target with a jab.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Fitzsimmons's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Fitzsimmons's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Purdie sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands three consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body.  
Purdie lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Purdie drives a sharp right uppercut into his opponents ribs.  IT LOOKS LIKE FITZSIMMONS WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Fitzsimmons could be stopped here, if Purdie can find the right shot!  Purdie drives a forceful right uppercut into Fitzsimmons's body.  FITZSIMMONS IS DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  Fitzsimmons now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Purdie closes the distance and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Purdie steps inside and is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents body.  Purdie holds on to his opponent.  Purdie is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Purdie's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Purdie connects with a left uppercut.  
Purdie forces Fitzsimmons to retreat onto the ropes.  Purdie digs in a solid right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Purdie lands a right uppercut followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Purdie gets on the inside.  Purdie pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a firm left hook to his opponents body.  
Purdie manages to force Fitzsimmons into a neutral corner.  Purdie quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body.  He then lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Purdie is on target with a solid right uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Purdie gets on the inside and lands a right uppercut to the head, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Purdie closes the distance and is on target with a right hook to Fitzsimmons's body.  
Purdie lands two right uppercut's to the body followed by a right hook to the head, AND KNOCKS FITZSIMMONS DOWN!  He manages to get up at 8.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Fitzsimmons's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Fitzsimmons's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Purdie steps inside and lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body, AND SENDS FITZSIMMONS SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 5.  
Purdie is looking to put the pressure on now...he knows a few clean shots could mean an early night.  Purdie lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the body.  He then lands a right hook, right uppercut and a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Purdie lands consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body.  He then lands three consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body, AND FITZSIMMONS IS DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 5.  Fitzsimmons now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.
