Leon Paxton vs Rich Cerdan

Boxing Daily Report from the Dana White promoted show at Vancouver Stackpoole, Vancouver,  taking place on 18/01/2035:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Canada-British Columbia Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Leon Paxton (18 - 15(1) - 4) who hails from Burnaby, Canada and Rich Cerdan(16 - 19(3) - 3) from Vancouver, Canada.  Both Paxton and Cerdan weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mark Jones, and the three ringside judges are Spencer Clary, James Wark and Mark Jones.  

Round 1: 

Paxton gets on the inside.  Cerdan attempts to land a left hook, but Paxton slips the shot and counters with a right hook to Cerdan's ribcage.  
Paxton attempts to land a jab, but Cerdan slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Paxton steps inside.  Paxton pivots from in front of his opponent and connects with a right hook.  
Cerdan lands a left hook.

Paxton advances into close range.  Paxton steps back and leans on the ropes with his guard up.  Cerdan tries to tag Paxton on the ropes, but his opponent blocks every shot!  
Cerdan is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands an overhand left.
