Dom Ahearne vs Edward MacKenzie

Boxing Daily Report from the Ssali Promotions promoted show at The Great Victoria Hotel, Bradford,  taking place on 17/01/2035:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the British-Northern England Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Dom Ahearne (12 - 12(1) - 3) who hails from Newcastle, UK and Edward MacKenzie(7 - 0) from Bolton, UK.  Both Ahearne and MacKenzie weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Kenzie Dredge, and the three ringside judges are David Fridge, Ken McRoberts and Fred Ruddock.  

Round 1: 

MacKenzie closes the distance.  MacKenzie sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a stinging left hook.

As Ahearne tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as MacKenzie dabs at his face checking for damage.  MacKenzie has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused bad swelling  around the left eye.  
MacKenzie advances into close range and hits home with a stinging right hook.  
MacKenzie pivots to the right of his opponent.  MacKenzie attempts to land a left hook, but Ahearne slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
MacKenzie steps inside and lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Ahearne quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Ahearne throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref ignores MacKenzie's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
MacKenzie advances into close range and hits home with a right hook.  
MacKenzie lands a left hook.
