Ponce Palencia vs Aimon Merced

Boxing Daily Report from the Boomer Promotions promoted show at North Star Boxing Havana, Havana,  taking place on 22/01/2035:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Cuba-Havana Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ponce Palencia (11 - 19 - 4) who hails from Havana, Cuba and Aimon Merced(18 - 8(1) - 7) from Havana, Cuba.  Palencia weighed in at 168 pounds, while Merced weighed in at 167 pounds and 7 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Joaquin Olguin, and the three ringside judges are Cortez Bastidas, Pedro Pico and Jair Parco.  

Round 1: 

Merced lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.
