Malcolm Baines vs Mervyn Fortuna

Boxing Daily Report from the All Saints promoted show at Desmond Gam Gym, Cardiff,  taking place on 17/02/2035:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the British-Wales Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Malcolm Baines (5 - 1 - 4) who hails from Cardiff, UK and Mervyn Fortuna(7 - 2) from Cardiff, UK.  Both Baines and Fortuna weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Terry Lyons, and the three ringside judges are Edwyn Brodie, Glyn Bowen and Inigo Rury.  

Round 1: 

Baines is on target with an overhand left.

Fortuna steps away from his opponent and is on target with a jab.  
Fortuna pivots to the right of his opponent and drives a solid left hook into his opponents body.  
Fortuna steps away from his opponent.  Baines sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Fortuna lands a firm overhand left.
