Noel Nichol vs Afanas Kowaleski

Boxing Daily Report from the Smokin Joe promoted show at Rogers Center, Toronto,  taking place on 11/04/2035:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Noel Nichol (39(20) - 2(2)) who hails from Calgary, Canada and Afanas Kowaleski(22(2) - 10(8)) from Donetsk, Ukraine.  Both Nichol and Kowaleski weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mark Mowat, and the three ringside judges are Dave Brown, Leo Gaddie and Lionel Phillippe.  

Round 1: 

Kowaleski closes the distance and digs in a left uppercut to Nichol's ribs.

Nichol steps to the outside and lands a cross.  Nichol throws a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Kowaleski attempts to land a cross, but Nichol sidesteps and counters with a stinging right uppercut.  
Kowaleski sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Nichol lands a stiff jab.  
Nichol is looking to keep the action on the outside and hits the target with a hard jab.  
Nichol steps to the outside and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Kowaleski gets on the inside and is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.
