Xavier Riva vs Peter Weir

Boxing Daily Report from the Hands Promotions promoted show at Hard Rock Stadium, Miami,  taking place on 30/03/2035:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Xavier El Rio Riva (10(5) - 0) who hails from Santa Clara, Cuba and Peter Weir(25(1) - 14(9) - 1) from Hoover, USA.  Riva weighed in at 147 pounds, while Weir weighed in at 146 pounds and 12 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Dale Salvatierra, and the three ringside judges are Oleos Infante, Vince Wood and Owen Covington.  

Round 1: 

Weir tries to land a cross, but Riva slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

Riva lands a left uppercut followed by  two left hooks to his opponents body.  
Weir attempts to land a jab, but Riva sidesteps and counters with a stinging cross.  
Riva gets on the inside.  Weir throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Weir lands with a sharp jab.  
Riva advances into close range.  Weir connects with a right hook.  
Weir tries to land a left hook, but Riva sidesteps and counters with a stinging left uppercut.  
Riva lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Weir is on target with a jab to Riva's body.  
Riva lands a hard jab.  
Weir quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and hits home with a right hook.  
Riva advances into close range and EXPLODES a FEARSOME left hook into his opponents face.  IT LOOKS LIKE WEIR WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Weir quickly recovers. 
Weir lands a cross followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Weir steps back and leans on the ropes with his guard up.  Riva steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.  Riva lands a firm right hook.  
Riva lands a jab to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Riva hits home with a sharp left hook.  
Riva pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a jab to the head followed by a cross to the body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Weir's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.

Riva drives a right hook into Weir's ribs.  
Weir hits home with a right uppercut.  
Riva pivots to the right of his opponent.  Riva connects with a solid left hook.  Riva attempts to land a cross, but Weir blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Riva feints a cross, and then lands a jab followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Riva tries to land a jab, but Weir sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Riva closes the distance.  Riva sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Riva sees his opponent is hurt.  He's looking for the finish!  Riva lands a right hook followed by a cross to his opponents head, AND WEIR IS DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  
Riva is looking to close the distance.  Riva lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND SENDS WEIR TO THE CANVAS!  He isnt going to beat the count!  The winner by KO is Riva!
