Joaquin Ballon vs Kiki Pastrana

Boxing Daily Report from the Mashaba Promotions promoted show at Managua Ravelo, Managua,  taking place on 14/03/2035:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Nicaragua Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on ESTV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Joaquin Ballon (16 - 12(3) - 1) who hails from Managua, Nicaragua and Kiki Pastrana(10(9) - 6(2)) from Leon, Nicaragua.  Both Ballon and Pastrana weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Gabriel Morejon, and the three ringside judges are Enzo Vazquez, Ignado Siguenza and Neron Limes.  

Round 1: 

Ballon is on target with a cross.  
Pastrana is looking to close the distance and attempts to land a left hook, but Ballon parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
Pastrana digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  Pastrana ties up his opponent.  Pastrana is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Pastrana to stop fouling.  
Ballon steps away from his opponent and lands a jab.  
Pastrana is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  Pastrana ties up his opponent.  Pastrana throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Pastrana about fouling.  
Ballon is looking to keep his distance and lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Pastrana walks his opponent down, trapping him in the corner.  Pastrana connects with a stinging left hook.  
Pastrana is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Pastrana lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Pastrana is on target with a left hook.  
Pastrana lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Pastrana walks Ballon down, trapping him in a corner.  Pastrana connects with a left uppercut.

Pastrana closes the distance.  Pastrana sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Ballon throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref ignores Pastrana's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Pastrana gets on the inside and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Pastrana ties up his opponent.  Pastrana is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Pastrana hits home with a left hook.  
Pastrana is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Pastrana hits home with a stinging right hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Ballon's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Ballon's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Ballon lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Pastrana advances into close range and drives a left hook into Ballon's ribs.  
Pastrana closes the distance.  Pastrana sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Ballon throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref stops the action.  The ref sends Pastrana to the neutral corner.  He warns Ballon that he could be heading for a point deduction.  
Pastrana closes the distance and manages to force Ballon onto the ropes.  Pastrana sidesteps to the right of his opponent and hits home with a solid left hook.  
Pastrana lands a left hook.  
Pastrana lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Ballon wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Pastrana dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Pastrana is on target with a left uppercut to Ballon's liver.  Pastrana holds on to his opponent.  Pastrana leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Pastrana's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Ballon switches the action to the outside.  Pastrana is on target with a cross.  
Pastrana steps inside and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Pastrana tries to land a cross, but Ballon parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut to Pastrana's body.  
Pastrana gets on the inside.  Pastrana sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by  two right hooks to his opponents head.  
Pastrana lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left uppercut to the head.  
Pastrana is looking to close the distance and digs in a solid right hook to Ballon's body.  
Pastrana lands a left hook to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a left hook to the head.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Ballon dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Pastrana lands a left hook to the body, a right uppercut to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Pastrana lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Pastrana lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Pastrana senses his opponent is hurt.  He is looking to stop Ballon and just needs the right shot.  Pastrana drives a forceful right hook into his opponents body.  BALLON IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 5.  It looks like Ballon has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Pastrana closes the distance.  Pastrana sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Pastrana is on target with a left hook.  Pastrana clinches his opponent.  Pastrana uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Ballon behind the head. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Pastrana lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  He follows up the attack and lands a left uppercut to the head, a left hook to the head and a right uppercut to the body.  
Pastrana lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  He then lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Pastrana quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Ballon recovers before his opponent can take advantage.
