Alessandro Bonatti vs Vanni Rodano

Boxing Daily Report from the Sikatana Promotions promoted show at Antonio Schettini Gym, Messina,  taking place on 15/03/2035:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Italy-Sicily Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Alessandro Bonatti (8 - 7 - 7) who hails from Messina, Italy and Vanni Rodano(16 - 9 - 6) from Catania, Italy.  Both Bonatti and Rodano weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Fabrizio Valdifiori, and the three ringside judges are Francesco Basini, Mario Battaglia and Antonio Gallico.  

Round 1: 

Rodano is on target with an overhand left.  
Rodano manouvers Bonatti into the corner.  Rodano attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref ignores Bonatti's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Rodano gets on the inside and connects with a right hook.  
Bonatti steps away from his opponent and attempts to land a cross, but Rodano slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Bonatti lands a jab to the body followed by a overhand right to the head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Bonatti's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Rodano's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Rodano's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.
