Joey Saam vs Santiago Roble

Boxing Daily Report from the Smokin Joe promoted show at Memorial Coliseum, Los Angeles,  taking place on 16/05/2035:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Joey Big Bam Saam (46(41) - 1) who hails from Cleveland, USA and Santiago Roble(22 - 9(6) - 2(NC)) from Leon, Nicaragua.  Both Saam and Roble weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Paul Herring, and the three ringside judges are Will Ducat, Dylan Waddell and David Ness.  

Round 1: 

Roble sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Saam throws a jab, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Saam is looking to keep his distance.  Roble lands an overhand left.  
Saam pivots from in front of his opponent.  Roble tries to land a jab, but Saam blocks the shot and counters with a solid right uppercut.  
Saam steps away from his opponent and drives a cross into Roble's body.  
Roble steps inside.  Saam lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Saam holds on to his opponent.  Saam pushes his forearm into Roble's face.  The referee warns Saam and breaks the clinch.  
Saam lands a right hook to the head followed by two left hook's to the body.  
Roble lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Saam lands a jab, overhand right and a jab to his opponents head.  
Saam lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Saam is looking to keep his distance and lands a jab, cross and an overhand left to his opponents head.  
Saam steps inside.  Roble throws a left hook, but Saam ties up his opponent.  Saam is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Saam connects with a sharp left uppercut.  Saam clinches his opponent.  Saam hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The ref breaks Saam's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Saam lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  Saam ties up his opponent.  Saam leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Saam's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Saam lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Roble is on target with a jab.  
Saam switches the action to the outside.  Roble lands a jab.  
Saam advances into close range and drives a weighty left hook into Roble's body.  ROBLE WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Roble almost instantly recovers. 
Roble throws a left uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a sharp right hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Saam's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Roble lands a stinging jab.  
Saam steps to the outside and lands a firm cross.  
Saam sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a cross to the body followed by two jab's to the head.  
Saam steps to the outside.  Saam quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Roble attempts to land a cross, but Saam blocks the shot and counters with a firm left uppercut.  
Saam lands a cross followed by  two jabs to his opponents head.  
Saam steps away from his opponent.  Roble lands a jab.  
Saam lands a right uppercut followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Saam gets on the inside and connects with a right hook.  
Roble attempts to land a jab, but Saam sidesteps and counters with a hurtful cross.  ROBLE WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Roble recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Roble lands with a sharp jab.  
Saam steps away from his opponent and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Roble recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Saam steps away from his opponent and connects with a MASSIVE cross.  ROBLE IS HURT!  Saam attempts to land a jab, but Roble slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Roble is looking to close the distance.  The right shot from Saam could be enough to force the stoppage!  Saam lands a right uppercut, left hook and a left uppercut to his opponents head, AND SENDS ROBLE TO THE CANVAS!  He is unable to get up before the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Saam!
