Steven Whittet vs John Deas

Boxing Daily Report from the Montreal's Top Gym promoted show at Olympic Stadium, Montreal,  taking place on 10/03/2035:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Steven Whittet (1(1) - 0) who hails from Hamilton, Canada and John Deas(7 - 12(3) - 4) from Mississauga, Canada.  Both Whittet and Deas weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Johnny Smith, and the three ringside judges are Stephen Morton, Brendan Aitken and Elliot Girardot.  

Round 1: 

Whittet advances into close range and tries to land a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Whittet lands a left hook followed by a jab to his opponents head.

Whittet walks Deas down, trapping him in a corner.  Whittet hits home with a sharp right hook.  Whittet ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Whittet pushes his forearm into Deas's face.  The referee warns Whittet and breaks the clinch.

Whittet lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  Whittet holds on to his opponent.  Deas leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Whittet lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Whittet pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Whittet lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  Whittet clinches his opponent.  Whittet leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Whittet's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Deas throws a right uppercut, but Whittet holds on to his opponent.  Whittet uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Deas behind the head. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Whittet pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head followed by two left hook's to the body.  
Whittet sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Deas's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Deas's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Deas's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Deas's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.
