Alec Clabby vs Davie Lawson

Boxing Daily Report from the Cowboys promoted show at Beamers Nightclub, Dallas,  taking place on 01/04/2035:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Alec Clabby (4 - 0) who hails from Columbus, USA and Davie Lawson(1 - 0 - 1) from Norfolk, USA.  Clabby weighed in at 168 pounds, while Lawson weighed in at 167 pounds and 5 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Noah Fergusson, and the three ringside judges are Elliot Flaws, Nicholas Wynne and Brett Straney.  

Round 1: 

Clabby lands a firm left hook.  As Lawson tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Clabby has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
Lawson is looking to keep the action on the outside and tries to land a jab, but Clabby dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Clabby steps inside and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Clabby clinches his opponent.  Clabby is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Clabby's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Clabby lands a double jab to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Clabby is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right uppercut to the head.  
Clabby is on target with a right hook.  
Clabby walks Lawson into the corner.  Clabby is on target with a right uppercut.  Clabby holds on to his opponent.  Clabby is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Clabby.  
Clabby lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Clabby feints a right hook, and then lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.

Clabby steps inside.  Lawson throws a right hook, but Clabby holds on to his opponent.  Clabby tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Lawson's kidney. The referee warns Clabby and breaks the clinch.

Clabby gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Lawson switches the action to the outside.  Clabby lands an overhand left followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Clabby snaps his opponents head back with a spiteful jab.  Clabby attempts to land a jab, but Lawson dodges the shot and counters with a cross.  
Clabby steps inside and is on target with a firm left uppercut to Lawson's ribs.  
Clabby is looking to close the distance and drives a right uppercut into his opponents body.  Clabby clinches his opponent.  Clabby throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Clabby about fouling.  
Clabby pivots to the left of his opponent and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Lawson steps to the outside.  Clabby lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  He then lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Lawson's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Lawson's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Lawson's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

He then lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the head and a right uppercut to the body, AND LAWSON IS KNOCKED DOWN!  The count reaches 10, but Lawson is unable to get up!  The winner by KO is Clabby!
