Jose Velasco vs Montenegro Carranco

Boxing Daily Report from the Pacific and Andean Promotions promoted show at Teatro Caupolican, Santiago,  taking place on 21/04/2035:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Fox Sports Chile, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Jose Velasco (8(6) - 0) who hails from La Florida, Chile and Montenegro Carranco(10 - 14(4) - 5) from Santiago, Chile.  Both Velasco and Carranco weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Santiago Banuelos, and the three ringside judges are Eduardo Martel, Rio Fallas and Fidel Otero.  

Round 1: 

Carranco tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a solid left uppercut to Carranco's body.  
Velasco sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a jab to his opponents body.  
Velasco is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a jab, overhand right and a jab to his opponents head.  
Velasco switches the action to the outside.  Velasco feints a right hook, and then lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  Velasco tries to land an overhand right, but Carranco dodges the shot and counters with a right uppercut.

Carranco sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Velasco drives a right hook into Carranco's body.  
Velasco lands a stinging jab.  
Carranco closes the distance.  Velasco is on target with a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Carranco steps inside and tries to land a right uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a hurtful cross.  IT LOOKS LIKE CARRANCO WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Carranco almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Carranco lowers his guard, attempting to draw a lead.  Velasco lands a jab to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Carranco is looking to close the distance and manages to force Velasco onto the ropes.  Velasco lands two left hooks followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Velasco lands an overhand left to the head followed by a jab to the body.  He follows up the attack and lands a jab to the body followed by a overhand left to the head.  
Velasco lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Carranco advances into close range.  Velasco lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  He then lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head, KNOCKING CARRANCO DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 6.  Velasco holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Velasco pushes his forearm into Carranco's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Velasco to stop fouling.  Carranco quickly recovers.

Carranco advances into close range and forces Velasco to back into the ropes.  Carranco throws a left hook, but Velasco holds on to his opponent.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.
