Glynn Madhuku vs Faraji Mutezo

Boxing Daily Report from the HHH promoted show at Harare Van der Linde, Harare,  taking place on 11/04/2035:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Zimbabwe-Harare Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Glynn Madhuku (23(2) - 14(1)) who hails from Chitungwiza, Zimbabwe and Faraji Mutezo(7 - 7(1)) from Harare, Zimbabwe.  Madhuku weighed in at 168 pounds, while Mutezo weighed in at 167 pounds And 11 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Johnny Mutambara, and the three ringside judges are Mark Mujokoro, Darryl Sibanda and Paul Moyo.  

Round 1: 

Madhuku is looking to close the distance.  Madhuku quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Madhuku advances into close range.  Madhuku sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Mutezo throws a right hook, but Madhuku holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Madhuku pushes his forearm into Mutezo's face.  The referee warns Madhuku and breaks the clinch.  
Madhuku walks his opponent into the corner.  Madhuku drives a right hook into his opponents body.  Madhuku clinches his opponent.  Madhuku is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Madhuku throws a left uppercut, but his opponent parries the shot.  Madhuku holds on to his opponent.  Madhuku leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Madhuku quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Mutezo is on target with a jab.  
Madhuku advances into close range.  Madhuku sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Madhuku lands a stiff jab.  
Madhuku closes the distance and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
Madhuku drives a telling left hook into Mutezo's liver.  MUTEZO IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  
Mutezo switches the action to the outside.  Some sustained pressure from Madhuku could be enough to finish Mutezo!  Madhuku lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  He then lands a left uppercut to the head, a cross to the head and a right hook to the body, AND MUTEZO IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  Mutezo now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Madhuku advances into close range and digs in a right hook to Mutezo's body.  Madhuku ties up his opponent.  Madhuku leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Madhuku's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Madhuku closes the distance and connects with a left uppercut.  
Madhuku steps inside and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Madhuku lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Madhuku advances into close range and digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Madhuku connects with a left hook.  
Madhuku throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Madhuku pivots to the side of his opponent and is on target with a left hook to Mutezo's body.  
Madhuku lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Madhuku digs in a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Mutezo's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Mutezo's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Madhuku lands a left hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Madhuku pivots to the left of his opponent and drives a right hook into his opponents ribs.  
Madhuku lands a jab.  
Madhuku closes the distance and lands a left hook.  
Madhuku forces Mutezo to retreat into a neutral corner.  Madhuku throws a left hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Madhuku holds on to his opponent.  Madhuku leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.

Madhuku is on target with a potent right hook to Mutezo's body.  MUTEZO WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Mutezo almost instantly recovers.

Madhuku digs in a powerful right hook to Mutezo's body.  MUTEZO IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 5.  
Madhuku senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Madhuku lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands three consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body, AND SENDS MUTEZO TO THE CANVAS!  The ref does not give Mutezo the chance to beat the count...The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Madhuku!
