Sam Lace vs Lee Coupland

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Promotions promoted show at Brisbane Goff, Brisbane,  taking place on 16/04/2035:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Australia-Queensland Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Sam Lace (11(1) - 2) who hails from Brisbane, Australia and Lee Coupland(5 - 10(2) - 1) from Sunshine Coast, Australia.  Lace weighed in at 154 pounds, while Coupland weighed in at 153 pounds and 5 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Dan Nish, and the three ringside judges are Andy Sare, Tobias Bruce and John Donohoe.  

Round 1: 

Coupland is looking to close the distance and cuts off the ring, trapping Lace in the red corner.  Lace lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the body and a left hook to the head.
