Connor Cormack vs Dave Davies

Boxing Daily Report from the Serero Promotions promoted show at Raleigh Monroe, Raleigh,  taking place on 05/05/2035:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-North Carolina Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Connor Cormack (7 - 33 - 3) who hails from Durham, USA and Dave Davies(14 - 20(2) - 2) from Durham, USA.  Cormack weighed in at 147 pounds, while Davies weighed in at 146 pounds and 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Ellis Davies, and the three ringside judges are John Gerrie, Danny Egerton and Oliver Racine.  

Round 1: 

Davies steps away from his opponent.  Cormack hits home with an overhand left.  
Davies advances into close range.  As Davies tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Cormack dabs at his face checking for damage.
