Diego Irong vs Santiago Ringpis

Boxing Daily Report from the Omaboe Promotions promoted show at Antipolo Putong, Antipolo,  taking place on 05/05/2035:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Philippines-Rizal Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Diego Irong (22(16) - 4(1) - 2) who hails from Cainta, Philippines and Santiago Ringpis(8 - 5(1) - 4) from Antipolo, Philippines.  Irong weighed in at 139 pounds And 9 ounces, while Ringpis weighed in at 140 pounds And 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Paul Riano, and the three ringside judges are Rodrigo Macapinlac, Angel Valverde and Rodrigo Morin.  

Round 1: 

Irong steps inside.  Ringpis pivots to the side of his opponent andAs the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Ringpis dabs at his face checking for damage.

Ringpis pivots to the side of his opponent.  Ringpis throws a left hook, but Irong ties up his opponent.  Irong leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Irong is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Irong.  
Ringpis switches the action to the outside.  Irong connects with a firm cross.  Irong attempts to land a cross, but Ringpis sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Irong steps inside.  Irong sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Irong lands a solid left uppercut.  Irong holds on to his opponent.  Irong leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Irong's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Irong lands a cross to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Irong gets on the inside.  Ringpis throws a left hook, but Irong holds on to his opponent.  Irong is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Ringpis throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a firm left uppercut.

Irong walks Ringpis down, trapping him on the ropes.  Irong lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Irong lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Irong ties up his opponent.  Irong is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Irong lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Irong drives a left uppercut into Ringpis's body.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Ringpis's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Ringpis's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Irong hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Irong.  Ringpis quickly recovers. 
Irong lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Irong gets on the inside.  Irong sidesteps to the right of his opponent and connects with a left uppercut.  
Irong hits home with a firm right hook.  Irong ties up his opponent.  Irong leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Irong to stop holding.

Irong slams a nasty right hook into Ringpis's ribcage.  RINGPIS IS DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 4.
