Levon Malkhasian vs Ricky Notman

Boxing Daily Report from the RJM Boxing promoted show at Davenport Glendening, Davenport,  taking place on 21/05/2035:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Levon Malkhasian (2 - 1) who hails from Yerevan, Armenia and Ricky Notman(5 - 1) from Tacoma, USA.  Both Malkhasian and Notman weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Nicholas Mower, and the three ringside judges are Mark Starrett, David Crosbie and Vince Caven.  

Round 1: 

Malkhasian is looking to close the distance and hits home with a right hook.  
Malkhasian lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.

Notman sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Malkhasian is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  Malkhasian holds on to his opponent.  Malkhasian pushes his forearm into Notman's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Malkhasian to stop fouling.

Malkhasian gets on the inside and throws a left hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Malkhasian clinches his opponent.  Malkhasian pushes his forearm into Notman's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Malkhasian about fouling.  
Malkhasian manouvers his opponent into a corner.  Malkhasian lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Notman steps away from his opponent and attempts to land a jab, but Malkhasian sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Malkhasian gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Notman's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Notman's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.
