Blake Pate vs Malcolm Brand

Boxing Daily Report from the Pacific and Andean Promotions promoted show at Infinity Insurance Park, Miami,  taking place on 08/06/2035:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Blake Pate (6(1) - 0) who hails from Nassau, Bahamas and Malcolm Brand(19 - 29(9) - 4) from Pembroke Pines, USA.  Pate weighed in at 238 pounds And 1 ounces, while Brand weighed in at 237 pounds And 8 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Kenzie Calley, and the three ringside judges are Fraser Vail, Charles Griffiths and Daniel Ruthven.  

Round 1: 

Pate steps to the outside and lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.

Brand gets on the inside.  Pate quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Brand has taken some damage there.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.
