Mark Pappas vs John Hercules

Boxing Daily Report from the Jon Crosby promoted show at Luna Park Big Top, Sydney,  taking place on 18/06/2035:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on WIN, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mark Pappas (10(1) - 0) who hails from Adelaide, Australia and John Hercules(21 - 23(2) - 1) from Sunshine Coast, Australia.  Both Pappas and Hercules weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Peter Takes, and the three ringside judges are Dale Touch, Hugh MacMaster and David Hollinger.  

Round 1: 

Pappas sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Hercules throws a left hook, but Pappas clinches his opponent.  Pappas uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Hercules behind the head. Pappas pushes his forearm into Hercules's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Pappas to stop fouling.

Pappas advances into close range and is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  Pappas ties up his opponent.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Pappas lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  Pappas ties up his opponent.  Pappas leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Pappas advances into close range and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.

That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Pappas.  That has caused bad swelling  around the right eye.
