Toma Cherkasov vs Kir Blinkov

Boxing Daily Report from the Latek Promotions promoted show at Luka Sokolski Gym, Barnaul,  taking place on 31/05/2035:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Russia-Altai Krai Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Toma Cherkasov (11(6) - 2 - 1) who hails from Biysk, Russia and Kir Blinkov(13 - 22 - 5) from Barnaul, Russia.  Cherkasov weighed in at 168 pounds, while Blinkov weighed in at 167 pounds and 5 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Arseni Maltsev, and the three ringside judges are Sergey Smyslov, Sasha Shapovalov and Pyotr Kowaleski.  

Round 1: 

Cherkasov lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Blinkov tries to step out of his opponents range.  Cherkasov lands a jab to the head, a cross to the body and a cross to the head.  
Blinkov steps to the outside.  Cherkasov lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Blinkov attempts to land a right hook, but Cherkasov blocks the shot and counters with a solid left hook.  
Cherkasov gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Cherkasov steps inside and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Blinkov throws a left hook, but Cherkasov clinches his opponent.  Cherkasov is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Cherkasov and breaks the clinch.  
Cherkasov steps inside and drives a right hook into Blinkov's body.  
Cherkasov gets on the inside and digs in a stinging left uppercut to Blinkov's ribs.  
Cherkasov lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Cherkasov is on target with a stinging left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Cherkasov lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.

Blinkov switches the action to the outside.  Cherkasov drives a spiteful jab into his opponents face.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Blinkov's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Blinkov's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Cherkasov steps inside and lands a left uppercut followed by  two right hooks to his opponents body, AND DOWN GOES BLINKOV!  He is back up on his feet at 6.

Cherkasov advances into close range and manages to force Blinkov into a neutral corner.  Cherkasov digs in a right uppercut to Blinkov's ribcage.  Cherkasov ties up his opponent.  Cherkasov tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Blinkov behind the head. The ref separates the two fighters.
