Gareth Clarkson vs Mark Leary

Boxing Daily Report from the Super Box Management promoted show at City Hall, Belfast,  taking place on 02/06/2035:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Gareth Clarkson (11(5) - 0) who hails from London, UK and Mark Leary(1 - 9 - 2) from Dublin, Ireland.  Clarkson weighed in at 107 pounds And 6 ounces, while Leary weighed in at 107 pounds And 12 ounces.  
The referee tonight is James McAfee, and the three ringside judges are Eoin McPhee, Anthony McCabe and Paul Gallagher.  

Round 1: 

Clarkson connects with a firm right uppercut.  
Clarkson manouvers Leary onto the ropes.  Clarkson connects with a left hook.  Clarkson ties up his opponent.  Clarkson pushes his forearm into Leary's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Clarkson about fouling.  
Clarkson is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  Clarkson holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Clarkson pushes his forearm into Leary's face.  The referee warns Clarkson and breaks the clinch.  
Clarkson is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  Clarkson holds on to his opponent.  Clarkson is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Clarkson uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Leary's kidney. The ref breaks Clarkson's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Leary is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Clarkson sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a jab.  
Clarkson lands a stinging jab.  
Leary throws a left uppercut, but Clarkson holds on to his opponent.  Clarkson leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Clarkson's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Clarkson is looking to close the distance and is on target with a left uppercut to Leary's liver.  
Clarkson lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Clarkson lands a right hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Clarkson digs in a stinging left hook to Leary's body.  Clarkson ties up his opponent.  Clarkson tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Leary behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Clarkson.  
Clarkson pivots to the right of his opponent and snaps his opponents head back with a solid jab.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Leary's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.

Clarkson advances into close range and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Clarkson is on target with a right hook to Leary's ribs.  
Leary is looking to keep his distance.  Clarkson feints a jab, and then is on target with a cross.  
Clarkson gets on the inside and digs in a left hook to his opponents liver.

Clarkson stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Clarkson lands a right hook, left hook and a right uppercut to his opponents body, AND SENDS LEARY SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 4.  
Clarkson lands a left hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body, AND DOWN GOES LEARY!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  Leary now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.

Clarkson walks Leary onto the ropes.  Clarkson lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Leary recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Clarkson digs in a firm right hook to Leary's ribcage.  
Clarkson lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Clarkson gets on the inside and is on target with a right hook to his opponents ribcage.
