Peter Peffers vs Rob Mingus

Boxing Daily Report from the Namugerwa Promotions promoted show at Oliver Benichou Gym, Edmonton,  taking place on 19/06/2035:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Canada-Alberta Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Peter Peffers (7 - 16(1) - 2) who hails from Calgary, Canada and Rob Mingus(3(1) - 0) from Edmonton, Canada.  Both Peffers and Mingus weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Robert Mower, and the three ringside judges are Dale Biggs, Robert Methvin and John Haddow.  

Round 1: 

Peffers is looking to keep his distance.  Mingus circles his opponent with a low guard, waiting for his opponent to attack.  Peffers finds the target with a jab.

Mingus lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  Mingus ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Mingus pushes his forearm into Peffers's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Mingus about fouling.  
Mingus advances into close range and forces Peffers to retreat into a corner.  Mingus lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Peffers closes the distance.  Mingus drives a left hook into his opponents body.
