Phil Blier vs Waqar Zamani

Boxing Daily Report from the Smokin Joe promoted show at Rogers Center, Toronto,  taking place on 27/09/2035:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Sweet Phil Blier (45(37) - 2 - 1) who hails from Brampton, Canada and Waqar Zamani(25(3) - 4(2) - 1) from Isfahan, Iran.  Both Blier and Zamani weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Joel Griffin, and the three ringside judges are Ian Dashiell, Danny Bour and John Short.  

Round 1: 

Zamani closes the distance.  Blier lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Zamani gets on the inside.  Zamani sidesteps to the right of his opponent and connects with a left hook.

Zamani gets on the inside.  Blier lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Zamani is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  Zamani tries to land a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a firm cross.  
Zamani steps inside and throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Zamani gets on the inside and manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Blier drives a left hook into Zamani's body.  
Zamani sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands with a stiff jab.

Blier lands a left hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Zamani almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Zamani pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a spiteful jab.  
Zamani tries to land a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Blier steps away from his opponent and lands a solid jab.  
Blier lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Blier hits home with a solid overhand right.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Blier's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Zamani's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Zamani's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.
