Tunde Nku vs Rabiu Akpala

Boxing Daily Report from the Frimpong Promotions promoted show at Buguma Ecoma, Buguma,  taking place on 04/09/2035:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Nigeria-Rivers State Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Tunde Nku (16 - 15(2) - 7) who hails from Port Harcourt, Nigeria and Rabiu Akpala(11(6) - 1) from Port Harcourt, Nigeria.  Both Nku and Akpala weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jay-Jay Oshikoya, and the three ringside judges are Izunna Abulu, Zafa Saladin and Bright Kuti.  

Round 1: 

Akpala steps inside.  Nku pivots to the left of his opponent.  Akpala hits home with a right hook.  Nku wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Akpala dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Akpala lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.

Akpala is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Akpala holds on to his opponent.  Akpala pushes his forearm into Nku's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Akpala steps inside and manouvers Nku into a corner.  Akpala drives a stinging left hook into Nku's liver.
