John McFarlane vs Chris Rafferty

Boxing Daily Report from the North Star Boxing promoted show at UIC Pavilion, Chicago,  taking place on 27/10/2035:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a mandatory fight for the USA-Illinois Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are John McFarlane (44(4) - 2(1)) who hails from Rockford, USA and Chris Rafferty(11 - 13(1) - 6) from Chicago, USA.  McFarlane weighed in at 160 pounds, while Rafferty weighed in at 159 pounds And 8 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Will Cockburn, and the three ringside judges are Wayne Gregor, Kenzie Sealy and Sam Touch.  

Round 1: 

McFarlane connects with a right hook.

Rafferty gets on the inside.  McFarlane pivots to the left of his opponent and lands two left hooks followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.

It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Rafferty.  That has caused a slight cut above the right eye.  .  
McFarlane quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Rafferty tries to land a right uppercut, but McFarlane sidesteps and counters with a left hook.
