Georges Niel vs Ace Tapie

Boxing Daily Report from the Dakessian Promotions promoted show at Lyon Fignon, Lyon,  taking place on 12/09/2035:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the France Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Eurosport, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Georges Niel (9 - 11(3) - 4) who hails from Lyon, France and Ace Tapie(20(11) - 12(6) - 1) from Lille, France.  Both Niel and Tapie weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Glanville Dauphin, and the three ringside judges are Didier de Laroche, Jeremie Olin and Cable Nin.  

Round 1: 

Tapie tries to step out of his opponents range and is on target with a jab.  
Tapie steps away from his opponent.  Niel attempts to land a cross, but Tapie dodges the shot and counters with a cross.  
Niel steps inside.  Tapie is on target with a sharp left hook.  
Tapie lands a stinging jab.  
Tapie lands a FIERCE right uppercut.  NIEL IS HURT!  
Niel now seems to have got his legs back.  
Tapie feints a cross, and then lands a sharp jab.  
Tapie tries to keep the action at long range and hits home with a firm cross.  
Niel advances into close range.  Tapie connects with a left uppercut.  
Tapie is on target with a left hook.  
Niel attempts to land a cross, but Tapie blocks the shot and counters with a stinging left uppercut.  
Tapie gets on the inside and lands a left uppercut.  Tapie holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Tapie pushes his forearm into Niel's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Tapie to stop fouling.  
Tapie gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  Tapie clinches his opponent.  The ref breaks Tapie's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Tapie lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.  
Tapie is on target with a jab to Niel's body.  
Tapie walks his opponent down, trapping him in the blue corner.  Niel throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a stinging right uppercut.  
Tapie is looking to close the distance and digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Tapie digs in a firm right hook to Niel's ribs.  
Tapie walks Niel into the blue corner.  Tapie lands a right uppercut.  
Tapie sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Tapie lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  Tapie ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Niel pushes his forearm into Tapie's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Niel to stop fouling.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Niel's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Niel's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Tapie lands a left hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a left hook to the body.  
Niel closes the distance.  Tapie lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Tapie pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a FIERCE left uppercut.  NIEL IS HURT!  
Niel now seems to have got his legs back.  
Tapie gets on the inside and DETONATES a nasty left uppercut on his opponents face.  NIEL WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Niel quickly recovers. 
Tapie pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Tapie pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a double jab to his opponents body.  
Tapie pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body followed by two left hook's to the head.  
Tapie gets on the inside.  Tapie pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a left hook.  
Niel is looking to keep his distance and throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Niel attempts to land a jab, but Tapie sidesteps and counters with a sharp right hook.  
Niel closes the distance.  Tapie is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Tapie lands a left hook, right hook and a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Tapie lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Tapie lands a solid right hook.  
Tapie pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a solid left hook.  
Niel throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a solid left hook.  
Tapie pivots to the right of his opponent and drives a sharp left uppercut into Niel's liver.  
Tapie feints a left hook, and then hits home with a sharp cross.

Tapie steps to the outside and SLAMS a HUGE cross into his opponents face.  IT LOOKS LIKE NIEL WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Niel almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Tapie advances into close range.  Tapie pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Tapie pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook.  
Tapie pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook.  
Tapie manages to force Niel onto the ropes.  Tapie sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head, a right uppercut to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  
Tapie pivots to the right of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.  
Niel gets on the inside.  Tapie pivots to the left of his opponent and lands two consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents head, AND DOWN GOES NIEL!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 6.  
Niel throws a left hook, but Tapie holds on to his opponent.  Tapie is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Tapie digs in a firm left hook to Niel's body.  Tapie wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Niel dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Tapie drives a left hook into Niel's body.  
Tapie digs in a left hook to Niel's body.  
Niel is looking to keep his distance and attempts to land an overhand right, but Tapie sidesteps and counters with a WICKED cross.  NIEL WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Tapie senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Tapie lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head, AND DOWN GOES NIEL!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  
Tapie SLAMS a VICIOUS right hook into his opponents face.  NIEL IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  HE MAKES IT TO ONE KNEE, BUT IS UNABLE TO RISE ANY FURTHER AS THE REF COUNTS 10!  The winner by KO is Tapie!
