Hajime Kanai vs Hisao Jo

Boxing Daily Report from the Lampi Promotions promoted show at Asahikawa Iwamoto, Asahikawa,  taking place on 15/09/2035:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Sky-A Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Hajime Kanai (15 - 9(3)) who hails from Kobe, Japan and Hisao Jo(17 - 6(1) - 1) from Sapporo, Japan.  Kanai weighed in at 167 pounds And 13 ounces, while Jo weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Satoru Yasui, and the three ringside judges are Kyo Minami, Eiji Suzuki and Raiden Sera.  

Round 1: 

Jo tries to land a jab, but Kanai dodges the shot and counters with a sharp left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Jo hits home with a cross.  
Jo switches the action to the outside.  Kanai lands with a solid jab.  
Kanai connects with a cross.  
Jo pivots to the left of his opponent.  Kanai hits home with a left hook.

Kanai walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Kanai lands a solid cross.  Kanai tries to land a cross, but Jo slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Kanai digs in a sharp left hook to his opponents body.  
Kanai is on target with a left hook to Jo's body.  
Kanai steps inside and walks Jo onto the ropes.  Jo lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Jo throws a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Kanai quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a left hook to Jo's body.  
Kanai steps inside and connects with a left hook.  
Jo is on target with a stinging right hook.  
Kanai hits home with a right hook.  Jo wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Kanai dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Jo drives a solid right hook into his opponents body.

Kanai is looking to close the distance.  Jo lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Jo switches the action to the outside and tries to land a jab, but Kanai blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Jo lands a cross.  
Kanai steps inside and hits home with a left hook.  
Kanai walks Jo onto the ropes.  Kanai lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Kanai hits home with a left uppercut.  
Jo attempts to land a cross, but Kanai blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Jo is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Kanai throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref ignores Jo's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Kanai advances into close range.  Jo lands a right hook.  
Kanai lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Kanai tries to land a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a solid cross.  
Kanai gets on the inside.  Kanai pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a firm left hook.  
As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Kanai.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
Kanai finds the target with a spiteful jab.  Kanai tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp right hook.  
Jo steps to the outside.  Kanai drives a jab into his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 3, lets listen in on the corners...Jo's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.

Kanai manages to force Jo into a corner.  Kanai drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Kanai advances into close range.  Kanai sidesteps to the right of his opponent and hits home with a stinging left hook.  
Kanai feints a left hook, and then hits home with a sharp cross.

Jo lands a sharp left hook.  Kanai wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref steps in and separates the two fighters to check for damage.  Its not looking good!  The ref has ruled that the fight cannot continue due to the accidental damage.  As less than 4 rounds have been completed its going to be a no-contest!
