Venacio Astorga vs John Morrison

Boxing Daily Report from the Mr. Vicious promoted show at City West Hotel, Dublin,  taking place on 14/10/2035:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Venacio Astorga (13(11) - 0) who hails from Mexicali, Mexico and John Morrison(12 - 18(1) - 7) from Tucson, USA.  Both Astorga and Morrison weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Carl MacRae, and the three ringside judges are Nathan Rafferty, Charlie Brisbane and Nathan McKay.  

Round 1: 

Morrison tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Morrison throws a right hook, but Astorga clinches his opponent.  Astorga pushes his forearm into Morrison's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Astorga.  
Astorga lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Astorga dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Astorga lands a left hook followed by  two straights to his opponents head.  
Morrison attempts to land a jab, but Astorga sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Astorga closes the distance and is on target with a firm left hook to Morrison's ribs.  
Astorga is on target with a sharp right hook to Morrison's ribcage.  Astorga clinches his opponent.  Astorga is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Astorga lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Astorga throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Astorga holds on to his opponent.  Astorga leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Astorga's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Astorga is on target with a firm right hook to Morrison's body.  
Morrison hits home with a cross.  
Astorga advances into close range.  Astorga drives a left hook into Morrison's liver.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Astorga dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Astorga crashes a hurtful left hook to his opponents ribs.  MORRISON IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 4.  
Astorga lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  He follows up the attack and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Astorga lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Astorga is looking to close the distance and connects with a left hook.  
Morrison connects with a right uppercut.  
Astorga lands a left uppercut to the body, a right uppercut to the body and a left hook to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Astorga clinches his opponent.  Astorga is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  Morrison quickly recovers. 
Astorga forces Morrison to retreat onto the ropes.  Astorga lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Morrison quickly recovers. 
Astorga digs in a left hook to Morrison's ribs.  
Morrison connects with a right hook.  
Astorga digs in a left hook to Morrison's liver.  
Astorga is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Astorga walks Morrison into a corner.  Astorga connects with a sharp right hook.  As Morrison tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Astorga dabs at his face checking for damage.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Morrison's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Morrison's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Morrison's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Astorga lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Astorga clinches his opponent.  Astorga leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Astorga's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Morrison could be stopped here, if Astorga can find the right shot!  Astorga lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body, AND SENDS MORRISON TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 7.  It looks like Morrison has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Morrison is on target with a left uppercut.  
Astorga drives a firm right uppercut into Morrison's ribs.  
Astorga gets on the inside and drives a stinging right hook into Morrison's body.  Astorga holds on to his opponent.  Astorga leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Astorga uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Morrison behind the head. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Astorga lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Astorga steps inside and lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body, AND MORRISON IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 9.  
Astorga cuts off the ring, trapping Morrison in the corner.  Astorga lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Astorga lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Astorga holds on to his opponent.  Astorga is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Astorga tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Morrison behind the head. The ref breaks Astorga's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Astorga slams a DESTRUCTIVE left hook into his opponents body.  MORRISON HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  THE REF DOES NOT GIVE MORRISON THE CHANCE TO BEAT THE COUNT...HE'S STOPPING THE FIGHT!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Astorga!
