Chris Barnes vs Ian Cecil

Boxing Daily Report from the Numb Nation promoted show at DeWitt Family Stadium, New Haven,  taking place on 30/10/2035:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Chris Barnes (6 - 0) who hails from Mesa, USA and Ian Cecil(18 - 17 - 7) from Tucson, USA.  Both Barnes and Cecil weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Peter Snape, and the three ringside judges are John Hilton, Ethan Boliver and Darryl Stephen.  

Round 1: 

Cecil throws a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Barnes closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Barnes is looking to close the distance and drives a right hook into Cecil's ribcage.  
Barnes attempts to land a left hook, but Cecil blocks the shot and counters with a cross.

Cecil sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Barnes digs in a right uppercut to his opponents ribs.

Barnes lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Cecil dabs at his face checking for damage.
