Gareth Drennan vs Hernan Paz

Boxing Daily Report from the Smokin Joe promoted show at Memorial Coliseum, Los Angeles,  taking place on 12/12/2035:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Gareth the Sledge-hammer Drennan (53(31) - 3(2) - 1) who hails from Anaheim, USA and Hernan Paz(27 - 12(8) - 1) from Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia.  Drennan weighed in at 147 pounds, while Paz weighed in at 146 pounds And 1 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Vince Aitken, and the three ringside judges are John Gourley, Glynn Flockhart and Sam Cant.  

Round 1: 

Paz is on target with a right hook.  Drennan ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Drennan pushes his forearm into Paz's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Paz tries to keep the action at long range.  Drennan quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Drennan advances into close range.  Drennan sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Paz lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  Drennan holds on to his opponent.  Paz throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Drennan manages to force Paz onto the ropes.  Drennan lands a left hook, left uppercut and a left hook to his opponents body, AND DROPS PAZ!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  Paz quickly recovers. 
Drennan drives a powerful right hook into his opponents ribs.  PAZ IS HURT!  
Paz is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Drennan knows it could take just a few clean shots to force the stoppage.  Drennan lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body, AND SENDS PAZ TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 5.  Paz now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Paz lands with a ramrod jab.  Paz attempts to land a jab, but Drennan blocks the shot and counters with a firm right hook.  
Drennan is looking to close the distance.  Paz throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a solid left hook.  
Drennan walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Drennan digs in a left hook to Paz's body.  
Drennan lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  Drennan holds on to his opponent.  Drennan pushes his forearm into Paz's face.  The ref breaks Drennan's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Drennan lands a sharp left hook.  
Drennan lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Drennan quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Paz attempts to land a right hook, but Drennan sidesteps and counters with a right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Drennan sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a right hook.  
Drennan attempts to land a left hook, but Paz blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Drennan digs in a telling left hook to his opponents ribs.  PAZ WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Paz quickly recovers. 
Paz lands a left uppercut.  
Paz steps away from his opponent and hits home with a cross.  
Paz hits the target with a ramrod jab.  
Drennan lands a cross followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Paz is on target with an overhand right.  
Drennan advances into close range and drives a right hook into Paz's body.  
Paz pivots from in front of his opponent.  Paz throws a left hook, but Drennan clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Drennan pushes his forearm into Paz's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Drennan to stop fouling.  
Paz hits home with a cross.  
Paz pivots to the side of his opponent and snaps his opponents head back with a sharp jab.  
Drennan is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Drennan is looking to close the distance and drives a left hook into his opponents body.  Drennan throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Paz attempts to land a jab, but Drennan sidesteps and counters with a sharp cross.  
Drennan gets on the inside.  Paz throws a right hook, but Drennan holds on to his opponent.  Drennan is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Drennan lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a cross to the head.

Drennan sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Paz throws a left hook, but Drennan clinches his opponent.  Drennan throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The referee warns Drennan and breaks the clinch.  
Paz is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a spiteful jab.  
Drennan steps inside.  Paz tries to land a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a sharp cross.  
Paz tries to step out of his opponents range and attempts to land a jab, but Drennan dodges the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Drennan pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a jab to the head followed by a cross to the body.  
Paz sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Drennan throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Drennan forces Paz to retreat onto the ropes.  Paz is on target with a left uppercut.  
Drennan throws a left hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Drennan clinches his opponent.  Drennan is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Drennan's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Drennan steps inside and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  He then lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Drennan lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  He then lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs, AND DOWN GOES PAZ!  He is unable to get up before the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Drennan!
